Antique French Checkers Board, circa 1860's

It consists of two separate boards, one each side, one for Chess or Draughts, the other for French Draughts or Checkers (Jeu de Dames) which consists of a 10 x 10 pattern (100 squares). The other side is the more standard 8 x 8 Chess configuration.  We have a Vintage Wooden Chess set included so both sides can be used.

Both sides of the board have sliding lidded compartments containing 20 checkers (most of them are the original ones but there are a couple of replacements to complete the set)
