Antique French Champagne Trug, from the Vinay region of France

This trug was used for collecting grapes from the vineyard, for champagne production. The timber on the trug is well weathered and patinated but lovely and solid. It has the lettering GB to both sides symbolising the vineyard owner's initials and turquoise and red paint to the top of the trug.

This wooden trug is a lovely large size and would make the most wonderful log basket, laundry basket or large planter for the garden.

Measurements: height 53cm, width 74cm, depth 53cm
