This gorgeous Mourning Locket Brooch is dated late 1800's to Early 1900's.

It is a rare photograph locket and inside, there is the photo of a Victorian man.

The brooch is on a rectangular piece of burgundy velvet ,adorned all around with a beautiful gold trim, lined with red cotton and there is a little loop at the top to hang it .

I have been told it was an Ex Voto or a Mourning souvenir.
