Vintage German Erzgebirge Miniature Wooden Putz Village
The lovely wooden village set contains various buildings and houses which have been painted and stamped upon. There are:
2 x gate towers
1 x church
3 x other larger buildings
6 x houses (4 blue roofed, 2 red roofed)
3 x turned wooden trees
6 x other trees
2 x hedges
6 x people
1 x horse and cart
The pieces show signs of age and use but are still in great condition. One of the wheels from the cart is missing, one of the horses legs is broken and the church looks to have had its top reglued but none of this affects its use and not really noticeable when displayed.
With regards to the people - some appear to be made without arms, the others the arms are broken.
Three of the pieces are stamped Made in GDR and date from the 1960's.
