Pair Beautiful Antique French Louis XVI Chairs from the 19th Century, deconstructed to reveal the cream calico lining. They are ready to be reupholstered or can be used as they are. We are able to recommend a good upholsterer if required.
The wooden framework of the chairs have been hand carved in the typical style of the period, with a bow garland detailing to the top. The frame has its old pale olive green paint on which reveals the bare wood in areas. The lovely wide seat of the chairs, rest over the four beautiful, tapered fluted legs. Due to their age, both chairs have minor joint separations but are still sturdy and comfortable.
