 Antique Swedish Trundle Bench, circa 19th Century, from the Jamtland region of Sweden.

This beautiful bench has been dry scraped back to reveal its original Gustavian Straw paint colour and time worn patina. This is a very functional bench/pull out bed and would have traditionally been used by the family milk maid. The lid/seat lifts up to reveal lots of storage space beneath and the front pulls out to convert into a bed frame. This Trundle bench is in good, solid condition, with all original wooden pegged joints. The lovely low back makes it perfect for positioning under a window.

Measurements: Height 67cm, Width 194cm, Depth 52cm, Seat height 47cm
