Antique Swedish Mora Clock dated 1807

This beautiful Antique Swedish Mora clock has been dryscraped to reveal its original paint, in the traditional Swedish two tone blue colour known as "Tunamaleri".

The original painted date of 1807 is just about visible beneath the clock face, as is the original painted design to the body front. The glass front of the clock face is held on by two small pins; I presume there was a hinge attached at some point but this piece is easy to remove and put back for winding purposes. The glass to the viewing window has also been naively replaced at some point, as shown in the photo with the door open. 

This clock has been working well, including chiming on the hour, since its arrival to the shop. However, please be aware that these clocks are very temperamental and may need to be set up professionally by a clock maker, once in situ in its new home.
