Antique French Wooden Ciel de Lit, Bed Canopy

Very unusual, beautiful and highly decorative wooden Ciel de lit which has been hand painted in a blue grey colour, highlighted with white chalk paint.

It has old woodworm holes around the frame, which have been treated as a precaution and some signs of general wear but, it is in very good condition.

There was some slight damage to one part of the decorative mouldings and I have tried to highlight this in the photographs. However,  since these photos were taken, I have touched up the area where there was paint loss, so it is less noticeable now. We have added the hardware to enable this Ciel de Lit to be suspended above a bed, table, sofa. If you wanted to add fabric, this could be tacked into the wooden frame.

Measurements: Height of frame 33cm, Width 50cm, Depth 58cm
