Antique Swedish Slagbord drop leaf table with original paint and original character, circa 1780-1800 

Abundance of ancient wear and patina to this gorgeous rustic table with two drawers at either end of the middle base. One leaf is lighter in overall appearance than the other one, mainly as most of the original paint has worn away revealing the bare wood beneath; this is probably due to it being used and scrubbed more often than the other side. Both gate legs work well. This is a very well used and well loved antique table which has authentic rustic charm.

Swedish slagbord tables were staples of Swedish homes due to their space saving design and functionality.

Each leaf measures length 72.5cm x depth 113cm

Middle base measures length 55cm x depth 113cm
