Antique 18th Century French Gilt Wood Baroque display stands/plinths

Two gorgeous handcarved, gilt wood display stands that would have graced the grandest of homes in France, to display grand clocks or treasured objet d'arts. There is an inscription to the base of the longer display stand in pencil "Marquis Dolonmanid" (not entirely sure of the spelling), which I presume was the home owner.

The triangular taller stand has some losses to the gilt gesso, as shown in the photos but personally, I think this just adds to the charm and character of this piece
