Adorable Antique Swedish Writing desk, circa 1850

This small writing desk has been hand dryscraped to reveal its original wood finish, with reeded detailing to the front and back.  Single drawer to the front with brass ring pull, which when pulled out, acts as the support for the desk lid top to rest on. 

Cute working drawers inside the desk top, all painted in a lovely blue grey colourway. The original lock to the lid is missing but this could easily be replaced. I have added a key to the pretty escutcheon to make it easier to open the lid.  This is a small desk so would suit a child's room or for occasional use only.  However, I can comfortably sit at it to work on with my laptop but I am quite small.

Desk top height when open 63cm, Height to extended drawer 50cm
