Antique French Potting Bench Table with original paint

This magnificent rare, handmade potting table with original paint colour is presented in very good condition. Made with traditional dovetail joints and peg construction, the two sides have special bespoke grooves carved , but the explanation for these were "lost in translation". Therefore, I am not sure what their original purpose was, so if anybody could tell me, that would be fantastic!  There is an ancient split down the middle of the table, but this does not detract at all from its beauty or affect its useage. All in all a fabulous potting bench table, perfect for a large potting shed or Garden room/Orangery.

Overall Measurements: Height 98cm, Width 157cm, Depth 77cm,

Potting top area measures Width150.5cm x Depth 70cm
