Antique Early 19th Century French Empire Chair with linen upholstered seat.

Gorgeous detailing all over the handcarved wooden back and legs. The seat has been newly reupholstered in thick heavy slub French linen in a Grey colour. Simply stunning chair. It has very old grey paint all over and there are areas where this has worn away and chipped over time. There are also two patches of greeny paint to the sides at the back...original paint possibly but in my opinion, they do not detract from the beauty of the chair.

 

Measures: Height 86cm, Width 44cm, Depth approx 48cm (Seat height 43cm)
