Antique 19th Century French Napoleon IIII Painted Zinc Bath Tub

Beautiful French Zinc Bath tub, circa 1880, standing on its original wooden base and wheels. It was found in its original green painted finish and I have refreshed the paint with some verdigris wax for added protection. There was some ancient woodworm damage to the wooden base which has been fully treated as a precaution. 

This tub has a handle to one end and a large central handle across the width of the tub, which makes it very easy to move around on its wheels. The tub is in great condition for its age with some minor damage to the rolled edge on the narrow end, as shown in the photographs. It makes the most wonderful garden planter, garden feature, or could even be used to chill down bottles of drink for those balmy summer parties we are all longing for. 

This bath measures height 80cm, width 143cm, depth 65cm
