Amazing Antique 19th Century French Painted Torchere, circa 1850

This seriously huge 19th Century Floor Standing Torchere, originates from a Church in the South of France and is truly magnificent, standing at nearly 6 ft tall! The original paint is distressed and worn away in places but this all adds to the character of this statement decorative antique. The top of the Torchere, holds a large Church Pillar Candle but it would be amazing converted into an electrical light...imagine a huge Edison light bulb at the top. I adore the carved feet to the tripod base, this really is a very special piece.
