Antique French Painted Trumeau Mirror
This fabulous painted Trumeau Mirror is perfectly imperfect and classically beautiful. It has areas where the beading is missing and some areas of minor damage and gaps, as shown in the photographs, but nothing too detrimental. There is a small piece of wood missing to the very top left hand edge and little bits of the gesso missing too. It has been scraped to reveal its old paint finish. There is no backboard to the mirror but it is held securely in place with pieces of wooden beading. The mirror glass is gently foxed all over but particularly near the bottom, as seen in the photographs.
