Beautiful 19th Century Swedish marriage chest retaining the original paintwork dated 1870 (ish) 

Huge and heavy wooden chest with a domed top and tapering sides. Original painted decoration with flowers and initials, with the original iron strap hinges, corner bindings and large wrought iron handles. The original metal lock is still present but unfortunately, the key is missing. 

On the right hand side, a piece of the wood underneath the domed lid has slightly separated away, as shown in the photos but it is completely solid and not very noticeable. It definitely does not affect the use of the trunk in any way.

Measurements: Height 67cm, Width 149cm, Depth 64cm
