Antique 19th Century Swedish Pine Cupboard on bespoke steel base

Lovely hand painted pine wall cupboard, originating from the Dalarna region of Sweden. Traditional cornice detailing to the shaped top of the cupboard, single door with a semi working lock and key and single interior shelf. Ancient woodworm damage, mainly to the back of this cupboard and at the base on one side, but the whole piece has been fully treated, as a precautionary measure. Some signs of wear and damage, as shown in the photos but all commensurate with its age.

An old horsehoe is in situ on the back as it would have been originally used as a hanging bracket. However, this beautiful cupboard is now presented with its later hand forged bespoke steel base which has been waxed and distressed to complement the antique cupboard and making it a versatile, free standing piece.
