Antique Chinese elm benches with decorative scroll feet, from the Shanxi region of China.
These beautiful benches are in a very classic chinese style with stretchers all around and legs which taper down to hoof-shaped feet, carved with simple scrolling patterns reminiscent of the Qing period.
They have timeworn black laquer finish all over apart from the very top of the benches and reveal areas of the elm wood underneath. These benches are very strong and sturdy and would make excellent seating, side tables, coffee table or bottom of bed benches.
