Antique French Champagne Grape Harvest Basket
Antique French Champagne Basket. Woven wicker with twisted wire supports. Single handle, wonderful patina to the wicker with original black paint colour letters, distinguishing the Vineyard from which the grapes came from. Standing on wooden runners which has an extra baton added to one side, as shown in the photos, to make the basket stand level. Slightly wonky due to age and use but still in good useable condition.
Place of origin Reims France, Circa 1910. Fabulous size to this beautiful basket, which is perfect as log basket, laundry basket, shoe storage, toy baskets, Christmas tree planter......whatever you want really!
Measurements: height 56cm (excluding handle), width 80cm, depth 63cm
